Overview

At Cotswold Screen Printers we can print onto a wide range of metal substrates including painted and unpainted surfaces, such as steel and aluminium, anodised and brushed metals, powder coat and wet paint finishes.

Digital printing is particularly economical where short runs, one off print jobs, and a multiple or large number of colours and shades are required.

Inks

With over 30 years of experience in printing for industry we are well aware of the importance of using the correct inks and print processes to ensure that your end product has both a high quality and detailed finish, whilst also being durable and long lasting. In doing so all our inks have been rigorously tested to ensure they are suitable for their end purpose, and we carry out ink adhesion testing on all new products prior to printing as part of the service we provide.

In addition to printing flat metal surfaces by conventional screen-printing methods, we also specialise in printing onto irregularly shaped and cylindrical metal work, and our factory is equipped to cater for a wide range of sized products from very small panels and brackets to large doors and housings. In some instances, specialist jigging may be required in order to print a particular product, and we have facilities on site, and established contacts to enable us to do this.

Departments

At CSP we have four specialist print departments allowing us to successfully print onto a wide range of shapes and sizes.

Below are some of the types of metal work we print on a daily basis, and the department in which they would be typically printed. For some jobs a combination of print methods may be required.

  • Flat anodised or powder coated metal panels – Screen printed
  • Folded and meshed panels – Screen printed
  • Metal boxes - Screen printed
  • Large cabinet doors – Screen printed
  • Unevenly shaped metal chassis and housings – Pad printed
  • Recessed and raised edged panels - Pad printed
  • Cylindrical and domed metal work – Rotary printed
  • Foils and metallic labels – Digital printed

Industry Sectors

At Cotswold Screen Printers we have a diverse customer base, including the medical, engineering, scientific and music industry, and cater for a range of customers from well-established manufacturing organisations through to smaller independently owned companies and sole traders.

Your Requirements

A large percentage of our work is carried out directly for sheet metal worker, and precision engineering/machining companies where the customer supplies the metal panels/components ready prepared and painted for printing. In this instance we can offer assistance with artwork if required, and decide on the best method for printing to achieve the results required.

Many of our customers have their own metal work contacts and supply parts in to us direct from their chosen metal worker or powder coat company for us to carry out their printing. In this instance we will print and ship your product for you, but also alert you if we have any concerns prior to printing regarding your product.

If you are developing a new product and do not have an established metal work supplier we can if required supply a complete “Design to Product” service including artwork, and procurement and finishing of metal work with one of our established metal work suppliers prior to the printing of your product.

Whatever your requirement, whether a one-off prototype or a repeat production order we will be happy to help you find the best option for your printing needs.
